What to do if … you have concerns about stray animals

However, the Saskatchewan SPCA does not provide animal control services and we do not have any facilities to care for lost pets. We investigate complaints of animal neglect or abuse. Our mandate is to deal with animals in distress as defined by the Animal Protection Act – in other words, animals deprived of adequate food, water, care or shelter; injured, sick, in pain or suffering; or abused or neglected.

Municipal government has the authority to deal with stray animals. If you have questions or are concerned about strays, please contact your local village, town, city or rural municipal office or the animal control authority in your area.
